Hi, my name is Debbie and I am fortunate and proud to say I am Centre Manager at Enable (Sheffield). I initially started on a 12-month contract in March 2017 to cover the office admin for our then Centre Manager’s maternity leave.

 

Previous to this I had always worked in an accounts/finance environment so being able to make friends with all of our wonderful learners was an added bonus to day-to-day office work, and certainly a lot more entertaining! Our learners often visit the office, just to say good morning and our kitchen crew even bring us a cup of tea. I in turn love to visit our areas to see what they are up to which always makes me smile, sometimes even belly laugh!

During my first year I enjoyed getting to know everyone and celebrating various occasions from parties at Christmas and Halloween to Sports day in the park. As time passed I was dreading the day I had to leave. Obviously that didn’t happen as here I am doing the job I genuinely love after being offered a permanent position as part of the Management Team.

I truly believe we offer a great service from a dedicated team of staff which I am honored to be a part of.  No day is ever the same at Enable and I can honestly say I enjoy getting up for work in the mornings and look forward to what the day will bring. Last but certainly not least, massive thanks to our founder, Alan Finchett for giving me this amazing opportunity in my career.
