Hi, I’m Michaela. I started at Enable on a 12-month contract in 2025. This was to cover maternity leave, both in the Life Skills House, as well as in the Craft area.

Within that time, I found it so incredibly rewarding and such an amazing experience getting to know our wonderful learners in each of their areas.  I felt so lucky and honoured to be offered a full time role when my short contract was nearing its end. This was to oversee and develop Enable’s new bakery area.  I am now extremely excited and cannot wait to run my own area; moulding it into an area that the learners will thrive and gain lots of confidence, being able to create lots of wonderful baking projects.

Out of Enable, I am a mum to four wonderful children. Within our family we have members that have neurological conditions. I have supported them and assisted them through their daily challenges for many years. This has given me lots of experience in dealing with people and their emotional needs, which I feel has given me the vital tools needed to fulfil my role.
