Having worked in the Accounting Profession for over 30 years, with the vast majority of this time as Financial Director for an international engineering company, I looked towards early retirement at age 55 and to pursue a more leisurely and less stressful existence.

However, I quickly realised that I was not the retiring type and to add to this my wife wanted me out from under her feet !! I was lucky enough to come across Enable, who were seeking a part-time Finance Manager and took up the role in June 2021.

Having the familiarity of disabled adults as I have an autistic Son, this position was the perfect fit for me.​ I now get to experience the never ending barrage of micky-taking and ribbing from and eclectic and manic bunch of learners and staff alike.
